Amiee's Place, a 501 © 3 Non-profit charitable foundation, is a place for young adults and their caregivers to turn for emergency financial assistance when their battle with life-threatening illness puts their home and family at risk for further crisis.

Each year billions of dollars are donated by individuals to cancer research foundations, but these funds are never seen by the patients in need. Very often young adults, ages 18-35, find themselves without resources to maintain basic necessities while they undergo costly, life-saving medical procedures. Often underinsured they are left struggling without the resources afforded young children and the elderly.

Families caring for a loved one with cancer incur extraordinary expenses during treatment and follow-up. This financial devastation affects not only the patient but their caregivers as well. The sacrifices made for their loved one result in the loss of utilities, food, siblings dropping out of school, even their cars and homes.
